CentrePort is a major part of New Zealand’s supply chain, providing critical infrastructure and transport solutions to the regional and national economy.  If you are after a rewarding career within an interesting environment where exciting changes unfold, look no further.  We’re developing and regenerating CentrePort – and you get to be part of it.As Asset Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure and Environment team responsible for forward planning and feasibility for CentrePort’s regeneration programme, developing projects to the point that they can be seamlessly handed over to a project delivery team.Reporting to the Delivery Director, this newly created role will oversee asset related tasks and activities which include renewals, inspections, maintenance and record keeping. Your planning and technical inputs will be important to ensure strategic decision making, coordination and effective utilisation of assets are enabled.  You will support the Delivery Director by providing reports, documentation and analysis for Infrastructure and Environment projects.We are looking for a forward thinking and motivated individual with demonstrated experience in Asset Management or similar field that will transfer to Asset Management.  You will have an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification and/or will have a tertiary qualification in Asset Management.  Strong planning skills and proven background in providing support in the preparation and delivery of detailed programme and project plans, reporting, compliance with regulations, contract management and asset management and development.To succeed in this role, it is critical that you have the personal drive, sense of urgency and energy to be able to work independently at the same time coordinate and liaise with an extensive range of operational and independent stakeholders, as well as contractors and consultants.
