At CentrePort, we know opportunity when we see it.  Strategically placed at the centre of New Zealand, we are a key player in facilitating economic growth through safe and efficient movement of cargo and providing supply chain solutions and expertise.We are looking for an experienced and exceptional Compliance Advisor with demonstrated success at inspiring commitment to Marine best practice and personal ownership of compliance to safety standards. Reporting to the Marine Operations Manager, you will provide specialist advice, assistance and support across Marine operations ensuring that efficient processes and procedures are carried out to meet all industry and legislative requirements and codes of practice.  You will champion Health and Safety compliance and conduct checks and audits to improve operations to achieve Zero Harm for CentrePort.   You will work collaboratively with key resources across the organisation and manage strong relationships with regulatory bodies, professional organisations and external stakeholders The successful candidate will have:Demonstrated experience of auditing processes and procedures to support continuous improvement preferably within compliance, risk or audit roles.Experience in port marine operations.Proven experience in leading staff in safety critical roles, preferably in a marine environment.Credibility and confidence to successfully drive outcomes.Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.Strong decision making and problem-solving skills, can confidently analyse and apply key information with good judgement and takes accountability.Passion for innovation, excellence and continuous improvement.Excellent communication, relationship and conflict management skills, with the ability to deal with and influence a diverse range of people.With a strong set of Values and focus on Health and Safety, CentrePort is a great place to work.  Our success comes from having the right people with the right attitude.  So, if you would like to be on board with us, we would like to hear from you.CentrePort supports an environment of diversity and inclusion.  We are committed to equal employment opportunities and therefore, encourage applications from different backgrounds.
