Your role will be assisting with the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of our Damen ASD 2411 tugs.We make things happen and get things where they are destined to be. So if you’re keen to step up and sink your teeth into a job that will be challenging, fun and an opportunity for great personal growth, we’ll help you get where you want to be.This key role will require a person with agile thinking, strong technical skills and a commitment to high levels of quality, customer service and safety.To be considered for this role you will need:Minimum SCO (Skipper Coastal Offshore) qualification or ring-fenced equivalent.Recent experience on ASD Tugs is preferred.Knowledge of safety systemsFirst Aid Certificate.To be physically fit and be able to withstand intermittent duty at sea in adverse and harsh weather conditions.To be able to work irregular hours (involves providing 24/7 coverage) and live close to the Port.To be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as per the Border Worker Order 2021 and subject to regular COVID-19 testing also a part of the order.CentrePort’s Marine team is made up of highly experienced and safety conscious people who work with modern plant and equipment, performing their tasks on one of New Zealand’s best natural harbours.
