Your role will be assisting with the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of our Damen ASD 2411 tugs.We make things happen and get things where they are destined to be. So, if you’re keen to step up and sink your teeth into a job that will be challenging, fun and an opportunity for great personal growth, we’ll help you get where you want to be.This key role will require a person with agile thinking, strong technical skills, and a commitment to high levels of quality, customer service and safety.To be considered for this role you will need:Minimum Skipper Restricted Limits qualification, (Skipper Coastal Offshore preferred) or ring-fenced equivalent.Extensive towage experience.Experience operating ASD Tugs.Knowledge of Marine Operating Safety Systems.To be physically fit and be able to withstand intermittent duty at sea in adverse and harsh weather conditions.To be able to work irregular hours (involves providing 24/7 coverage) and live close to the Port.Compliant with COVID-19 vaccine and testing requirements.CentrePort’s Marine team is made up of highly experienced and safety conscious people who work with modern plant and equipment, performing their tasks on one of New Zealand’s best natural harbours.
